***The best time for a proposal in Kenrokuen is early in the morning, before it officially opens to the public. Generally around sunrise. Kenrokuen allows visitors to enter a few hours before opening time as long as you leave 15-minutes before opening time. This is the best time for a proposal as the light is usually nice and soft and there are very few people around.
