Kazue-Machi
Kazue Machi
Quieter than Higashi Chaya but equally charming, Kazue-machi sits along the banks of the Asano River. Its narrow historic alleys, traditional wooden buildings and riverside setting provide a wonderful variety of distinctly Kanazawa backdrops within a very small area.
I’ve photographed here extensively and know how to make use of both the riverside and the quieter streets behind it. Small changes in position and angle can completely transform the background, allowing us to create a surprisingly varied collection of photographs without covering much distance.
